@Silverado Photography: Thank you! Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaWow Booky that is one impressive macro, what a lovely, lovely photo, and I know he's saying exactly that ;) 25 Jul 2009 9:32am @Lorraine: It was sooo hot. I really felt sorry for the animals that didn't have a pool to dive into. grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomToo close for comfort to old baldy methinks. Great portrait 25 Jul 2009 9:48am @grouser: Nah. I used a 300mm. Those guys do have an intense look, when they happen to glance your way, though. @Eleftheria: Thank you! @Joanne: Thank you! Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United StatesIf that isn't a Five Star image, I don't know what is! ***** 25 Jul 2009 12:12pm @Judy: Well, thank you, Judy! Richard Irwin from Belper, United KingdomWhat an angry face, and I wouldn't get too close to that grumpy old eagle on a hot day. 25 Jul 2009 11:27pm @Richard Irwin: I don't think I'd want to walk in to have a chat with him. Pixim from Nice, FranceMagnificent eagle which you knew how to catch, I like its expression and naturally its piercing eye Bravo ;) 26 Jul 2009 5:07pm @Pixim: Thank you! He does have a frightening look of intensity, doesn't he? Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesA great shot... and the expression is just how those guys look... I helped out a mockingbird one time and that guy really looked mean. 26 Jul 2009 10:52pm @Earnest: Yes, they're a little on the severe side. We had a hawk go after a chihuahua, locally. The owner went after the hawk with a broom and grabbed the pup, but Mr. Hawk was determined and tried to fly right into the house. Poor hawk got the door slammed on his feet. Ouch. Lesley from Lincoln, United StatesI love this one! And, yes, it is getting a bit hot up here, too. 27 Jul 2009 11:18am @Lesley: It's not really as bad as it could be, at the moment (knock wood). Maybe the clouds are helping. We're only getting into the lower 90's, now. It's miserable, though. The humidity combined with 90 heat is gruesome. peter from new york, United Stateswhoa! excellent portrait! his expression is priceless : ) 27 Jul 2009 8:07pm |
