Flaming spiders

@Lorraine: I thought about the car photo being a bit of a bang <i>after</i> I sad that. LOL Thanks. The driveway explosive photos turned out better, this year. I'm thinking my camera has a slight flaw -- it doesn't want to do what I tell it to, if it thinks there isn't enough light. This year, we had the moon and the photos were great. So happy to see you, Rainy!

@grouser: Nope, that's the correct perspective. Those little suckers blew up and went off a little to the left as they fell. I've got a photo in which they went the opposite direction, so maybe it depends on which side of the fireworks cracked open?

@MrsAmber: They're up in the sky, falling to earth. Either there was a bit of a breeze blowing to the left or they just blew out the left side of the firecracker -- hard to say. I don't think we've ever bought this particular kind of fireworks, before. They're really pretty to watch.

@Judy: He's doing very well, Judy. He only missed 2 days of work (a lifeguard needs to be attentive, so I think it was wise not to let him work till he'd calmed down a bit) and has had trouble sleeping but even that's improving. It was definitely a sobering experience. He absolutely, utterly believes God was watching out for him.

@Lesley: Thanks Les. I promise you're no worse than I am. I keep trying to catch up and it seems like I'm always chasing my tail. I didn't even know you've been gone!! Talk about a bad blogger!
