Lesley from Lincoln, United StatesDid you swim underneath the falls? Looks inviting! 9 Jun 2009 11:07am @Lesley: No, you're really not supposed to even touch a thing. They're very serious about protecting their rainforest. I took a flash photo of a nesting bird and our guide said, "Oh, no, no. Don't do that." <blush> @Lorraine: Thank you! This is one of my personal favorites. :) peter from new york, United Statessounds like something out of a movie! did you take a dip?? 9 Jun 2009 3:34pm @peter: Nope, no dips allowed. No touching anything allowed, actually -- at least they discourage you from touching much of anything, although sometimes the guide did pat a thing or two, pull down a leaf to show us an insect, etc. They're really serious about protecting their rainforest. grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomCan't quite figure out how having a swim destroys a rainforest. Now having a chainsaw that's a different kettle of fish. 9 Jun 2009 7:02pm @grouser: Oh, you know, filthy humans. I didn't swim in the Hawaiian rainforest, even though I could have. Not my thing, anyway. I'm all for blue, chlorinated pools. Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomLove it that nature finds places to exist in every nook, cranny, and end of a log. Good shot. 9 Jun 2009 7:24pm @Richard_Irwin: Thank you, Richard! @jamesy: Thank you, Debbie! Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesIt's beautiful. Excellent composition selection too. 10 Jun 2009 12:29am MontereyJohn from Salinas, California, United StatesOh wow! This is GOOD on every level. Really well done! 12 Jun 2009 11:55am grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomWhat's happening to your postings oh bookalicious one. You will never get through those 2,000 pics at this rate. 14 Jun 2009 10:23am @grouser: Hi Grousie. I've just got a ridiculously busy couple of months ahead of me, so I decided I'll hold off on posting -- possibly for the summer. We'll see. My neighbor emailed me to ask me if I'll come take a picture of a snake skin, today. Neighbors are so funny. Hope you're having a good summer. :) MrsAmber from West Wickham, United KingdomLovely walk you've taken me on. Thank YOU! 15 Jun 2009 11:10am MontereyJohn from Salinas, California, United StatesLove the point of focus here, the faded background just makes this pop. Really well done. 8 Jul 2009 5:41am |
