Yellow-crowned Euphonia - Costa Rica #23

Now that I have my book of Costa Rican birds, I can identify some of them. I posted photos of this little bird and his mate, early on in my series of Costa Rica shots. They were always around when I walked outside through the glorious French doors and I believe they were nesting in a hanging basket that dangled above our heads on the balcony. I loved watching this couple flit around. They were just adorable.

@grouser: Well, Your Grousefulness, no . . . we didn't even take a tripod with us. Bad idea. Definitely needed it in the rainforest. I braced myself against the balcony railing for this one. :)
