Nuts, she caught me! - Silly TuesdayPosted by Bookfool (Mississippi, United States) on 19 May 2009 in People & Portrait. You have to feel for the spouses of shutterbugs. This is my husband, eating some of the pecans we inherited (seriously, the pecans were the most important thing to split when my mom died, as far as hubby was concerned) in our back jungle. It's supposed to be a backyard, but right now . . . it's a back jungle. I need hired help.

Craig from Vacaville, California, United StatesIt is as if I am looking in a mirror! :0) 18 May 2009 11:31pm @Craig: Haha. I actually put this one on the wrong day, but fortunately your comment tagged along. Poor husband. He tried to get me to change the image but I decided the other one was just too boring. P J W Miller from Chase Terrace, United KingdomJust say sorry, grin and bear it old boy 19 May 2009 6:46am @P J W Miller: He's trying not to think about it. ;) Linerberry from Sumner, Christchurch, New ZealandHehehehehe brilliant bless him!! Tell him we are not laughing at him but with him...and you and the pecans!!! I love the foot!!! Superb siliness!!! Thanks to hubby for being a Silly Billy too!!! 19 May 2009 6:52am @Linerberry: The foot was what caught my eye; his expression was a bonus. Glad you like that! I think he's pretty silly, in general, but he'd rather I not show that fact off too often. :) grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomSo you are married to 'Bigfoot' and boy does he look pleased about it. 'Hopping' mad in fact. 19 May 2009 10:11am @grouser: He has cute little feet compared to my son. LOL He just looks mad, but he wasn't. We were having a pleasant conversation while he stuffed himself with nuts. My husband's a little squirrelly. MrsAmber from West Wickham, United KingdomHa ha. Hope he is not too Nuts that you put this up. Lovely shot! 19 May 2009 10:28am @MrsAmber: Seriously, he's just trying not to think about it. He's funny that way -- a pretty decent sport. Thanks! Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaOh He doesn't think so...lol I love this, I tellyou open a blog, day by day, complain, bitch show what you've done even it it's just an inch, you'll love and blow steam and won't end up in jail for hitting your husband with a gardening tool ;) lol 19 May 2009 12:57pm @Lorraine: So true, Rainy. One thing I'll never show off is what he does to the kitchen. Ack, horrifying! He cooks, but by the time he's done you can't even find the sink to rinse things. Scary. This is a sweet photo compared to what I could show you. LOL Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomHe ain't gonna get the garden done with his feet up, I would ration the pecans until he cleared a patch of 'jungle' 19 May 2009 5:38pm @Richard_Irwin: Well, he's working on it. That area behind him contains a bird nest and tons of humongous poison ivy vines, so he has to work very carefully. I really think we'd be better off hiring someone because hubby has gotten poison ivy in his eyes, in the past (you can imagine how fun that was!), but he doesn't like hiring people to do anything at all, so there you go. Little by little. peter from new york, United Statescool portrait of your husband and i like the story! as for my puerto rico series, it's done for now but may post a couple shots here and there in the future! is your trip done too? 19 May 2009 6:20pm @peter: Thanks, Peter! Aw, I'll miss Puerto Rico. I'm not quite done, but I get tired of posting series pics and have to take a break, now and then. Silly Tuesday's a good excuse to toss something else in the mix. :) Lesley from Lincoln, United StatesHa! I thought this was a shot from Costa Rica!! :) 19 May 2009 8:50pm @Lesley: It might as well be. We're subtropical -- no rainforests, but we've got so much heavy undergrowth that yardwork is a year-round battle. There's never a time we're not doing something -- raking, weeding, mowing, hacking vines, hauling limbs to the curb. Ugh. Who has a book signing? Rod? Judy from Brooksville, Florida, United StatesGood shot of him and his sneaker! :D 20 May 2009 2:10am @Judy: Thanks, Judy! Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, CanadaCAught in the act. No rest for the wicked. Great silliness indeed. 20 May 2009 3:02am @Lee: Exactly. :) Thanks! PD from Overland Park, Kansas, United Stateshaha! his shoes look green, so he must have been mowing at some point! 20 May 2009 3:26am @PD: Hahaha! Yep, you're right! Those are his mowing shoes. He really doesn't wear them for much of anything else but the yardwork and they're a bit stained. jeff (aka dogilicious) from Millerstown, PA, United StatesI sympathize with him completely! 20 May 2009 10:20am @jeff (aka dogilicious): And, I'm sure he's grateful. ;) Hidalgo from Herunen, FinlandHehehee. Easy living and enjoying life. Nice surroundings You have there. Good photo. 20 May 2009 11:00am @Hidalgo: Thank you, Hidalgo! I do like our backyard when it's not quite so overgrown. :) Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesYeah, doesn't look to happy about the shooting but I'm sure is enjoying the pecans - speaking of which I have a piece of pie in the fridge made from some my mom gave us.... got to beat the wife to it. 21 May 2009 7:56pm @Earnest: Pecan pie would probably not last 2 days in this house. Bon appetit! @jamesy: LOL Yeah. He makes my feet look all tiny and adorable. |
