It's very kind of Costa Ricans to paint their walls in glorious colors to add contrast, don't you think?
Nice bougainvilleas and cool capture.

@Ravi: Thank you! I have a terrible time spealling bougainvillea, so thanks for using the word. :)
What an exceptionally pretty flower! Beautifull captured. Just love it!

@MrsAmber: Aren't they pretty? I don't think I exposed this one very well, but I still think they're gorgeous in spite of the photographer.
Great macro of the Bougainvillea!

@Judy: Thank you, Judy!
I have always wanted to plant one of those -- unfortunately when you plant anything around here it seems to take a billion years to start flowering if it makes it at all... It's beautiful.

@Earnest: Do you have that nasty clay soil? I had a terrible time growing things here, till I broke up the clay and added some things to loosen it up and add mineral content. I hope to someday live in a place without clay, where houses have basements!!!
the purple works great with that beautiful background tone. nice one!

Rather than use the email facility I'll add another comment... the soil here is nice and sandy but you know the weather -- always extreme!
8 May 2009 1:21pm
@Earnest: You're out near Keystone, right? Yes, I guess it would be sandy, then. So true about the weather. If it isn't yanked up or drowned by a storm, it's frozen or baked. I miss the frozen part, myself.
