Back soon, dear - Costa Rica #3

Not a great shot, but this was when we first arrived in Monteverde and I gradually improved at snapping these guys. I'm going in chronological order.
Since my bird books are still missing, I'd love it if any experts are willing to inform me what kind of birds we're looking at, here. I'm assuming the bright yellow and black bird is the male, since he's pretty flashy. These two were definitely a couple and flitted around near our balcony constantly. It wasn't till the second day that we realized they were spending an awful lot of time in the hanging basket of ferns on the right side of the balcony, where they were apparently nesting. There was also some nest-building going on above the opposite side of our balcony by an entirely different bird, but we'll get to that later.
