Back to the cemetery

I know, I'm a terrible blogger. I've had a sick kiddo and didn't realize what I was taking on when I agreed to make 50 bookmarks from my photos, recently. I ran out of absolutely everything at least once -- card stock, ink, laminating sheets, patience. My cutting blade dulled and I had to trim the edges of each bookmark by hand before laminating them. I need a week-long nap.

This is detail from one of the beautiful monuments in our Jewish cemetery. I tried treating this photo several different ways and this is my favorite. When I added grain to the photo, the trees in the background became more prominent and I didn't think that was a good thing -- best not to draw the eye away from the hand and flowers but around the wreath instead, in my humble opinion.

@MontereyJohn: And, boy did I need the nap when I finished! It was a good experience, though. Now, I know exactly how much of everything I need and that it would be awfully difficult to make a profit. Thank you! I think this is my favorite of the cemetery photos.

it being in B&W, the light and shadows and the main subject matter made it a beautiful photograph. one with drama and produces emotion.

@Lorraine: Yes, poor sickie. He gets better, he gets worse, he improves, he relapses. I think school needs a siesta time. It's just too much going all day when you're trying to recover.
