@jamesy: Thank you, Debbie! I thought she looked better in b & w and soft focus than in color. I might post a color photo, too. Still thinking. :)

@Richard_Irwin: Thank you, Richard! That's just what I intended -- so glad to know it worked. There's a bit of lichen growing on the statues and sometimes it adds character but in this case I thought it detracted from the subject, hence the b & w.

@Lorraine: Thank you, Rainy! She would make a nice etching, wouldn't she? You're making me wish I was an artist. LOL

@Judy: Yes, very elaborate! Across the river, in Louisiana, there's a cemetery with a very tall column that I need to photograph, some day. It's got a Civil War officer perched on the top. You'd love it. :)

@peter: You know what I forgot? I didn't look at the dates on that monument to see how long she's been thinking. I'll have to do that, next time. Thanks, Peter. :)

@djedfre: Yes, I suppose one should avoid snapping if there are mourners walking about or a service in session. This cemetery has been closed for at least a couple of decades, so no problem there. There was recently an article in the paper about someone running off with all the pre-paid burial money at our only open cemetery. There is currently no way to get buried, where I live. People have always been dying to leave this town (I know, baaaad).
