@Lorraine: Thank you, Rainy. We are apparently diving into spring in Vicksburg. The birds are plentiful and very vocal, right now!

@peter: Thank you, Peter. I did use the soft-focus feature in Picasa (yes, darn it, I use the free software) because it seemed apropos for the coloring. :)

@Lesley: They're not easy to capture because of that flitting. I've only gotten a few decent photos of cardinals in a matter of years. You'd love the noise. It was driving me nuts, today, but I'm easily distracted and I was trying to focus on my reading. Sounded like someone plunked us in the jungle.
