Best buds

From the files, a photo of my eldest son with my sister-in-law's dog. I'm sure my son wouldn't like knowing I shared this photo because his skin was a mess, but I'm not going to bother touching up. It's not great -- I'd just begun taking photos, again, after a lengthy absence from photography. I just thought it was a sweet photo worth sharing.

Just what is that on the dogs collar? Is that one of them shocker thingy's?
You caught a 'mood' in this shot... kind of a soft and mellow...uh... contentment, if you will. Thanks for sharing.

@Rich: I had to ask my husband about the collar thing. It's to keep him from barking. Short answer: yes, it's a shocker. He's a really well-trained, very sweet dog. I do think both dog and young man were very contented! Thanks. :)

Awwwww, I love the petting motion that shows in your son's hand as well as the expressions of contentment on both he and the dog. This was a good moment captured!

@Judy: Thanks, Judy! I think my son would have happily taken Duke home, but the cats wouldn't have been too happy. LOL They had a good time. I loved that look of bliss on the dog's face.

@Lorraine: Thanks, Rainy. I think he's handsome. He looks much more mature, these days, with clearer skin and more of a manly look (like his dad, he takes a day or two off from shaving, whenever he can get away with it). The dog is a sweetheart, very well-trained.

@grouser: Sorry, Grousie. :) I've been a little overwhelmed. I'm trying not to sit around for long stretches of time in front of the computer. Combine that with joining a marathon training program, over-committing myself on book reviews (I read 19 books in January) and bad weather . . . it was a bad photography month. I'll post a couple of photos. I don't have much of anything new, but at least I got out of the house, yesterday!! How are you doing?
