Noisy little guy #2

I started out nearly blinding myself -- it's really hard to focus when the darned bird is in the wrong spot and you're trying to protect your eye -- and then decided to just infringe on my neighbor's kindness and walk down to her driveway to make sure the sun was at my back. This little guy, fortunately, didn't care what I was up to. He was far too busy hollering.

@Judy: I was kind of leaning backwards with the 500mm making my arms ache, but it was worth it. He really is a pretty guy and posed nicely, isn't he? Thanks Judy. I LOVE my bookshelf!!!!

I like this shot even better than yesterday's! He looks like he's getting ready to perform a great concert. It is a tufted titmouse, isn't it? We used to have one in our yard when I was little and my brother named him Tommy Titmouse.

Send some of that warm weather my way, please. We had blizzard-like conditions last night. Fortunately, we only got a little bit of snow with the strong wind.

I need to do some book-blog catching-up, too!!

@Lesley: He was really in the middle of a concert. I've got a few open-beaked photos, too. Maybe I'll post one of those, tomorrow. Such a cute, funny little guy. Yes, it's a tufted titmouse. I wouldn't have known that, but a friend informed me. We've got a lot of activity in our backyard, right now, so you'll see some other bird varieties, soon!

I wish I could send you our weather. It poured, today, after a warm and muggy morning.

I'm so behind on book blogging. Good luck catching up!

@Fliss: Thank you! Yes, one must sacrifice, although it will be a bit hard to do photography if any of us ever manage to blind ourselves in the process. ;)
