Judy from Brooksville-Florida,, United StatesWhat a funny shot ...... and well taken, I might add! 30 Dec 2008 9:13am @Judy: Thanks, Judy! I have no idea how they keep the water out. Maybe that's why some of the tubs are tipped. I've been told the fellow who owns this place repairs old tubs. What an interesting job! @BABYLONEZOO: Merci beaucoup! Vink from Grasse - French riviera, FranceIncredible composition ! Original shot ! 30 Dec 2008 11:36am @Vink: Merci, Vink! It's one of my favorite places in the state, but difficult to capture because you have to stop on a highway shoulder and snap quickly! @Blandine111: Haha. Sounds good to me. A couple of pillows, a bikini and a good book . . . Rich from Gray, United StatesNice catch, great capture. I wish I could come up with something witty to say... but my thunder was stolen by Blandine111! 30 Dec 2008 12:09pm @Rich: You did just fine with Mr. Bill. I hadn't even noticed that about the holes and you had me chuckling. Yep, I'm old enough to remember, "Oh, no... Mr. Bill!" Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesNice "clean" photo... at least you didn't catch them reproducing like the plastic stuff in our cabinets does when it's not being watched. 30 Dec 2008 2:45pm @Earnest: Thanks. I'm sure when nobody's looking at night, there are interesting bathtub antics. grouser from Ludlow, United KingdomWould the owner be compulsive/obsessive perchance? 30 Dec 2008 4:58pm @grouser: Well, Sir Grouser of Travelinglens, he actually repairs bathtubs. But, if you didn't happen to know that, one can't help but wonder. Hahaha! Reader O'Bookian! I love it!! :) Pixim from Nice, FranceYees, it really strange, is shifted. You succeeded in taking the totality of this amazing scene all while connecting it to the terrestrial daily by your framing. Bravo and thank you for this sharing ;) 30 Dec 2008 6:01pm @Pixim: Merci, Pixim! Quelle façon agréable de décrire la photo! :) Scott Schilling from San Martin, United StatesVery nice work! I like the composition - with the fencing and more rural feel in the background - it gives it an interesting twist. 30 Dec 2008 6:33pm @Scott Schilling: Thanks, Scott! I thought it was awfully nice of that fellow to add the picket fence to give the place a "ranch" look. It's really rural -- kind of plopped in the midst of a lot of farmland (I have not yet stopped to photograph the cows, but someday I will) on a highway. Northern Mississippi is quite lovely. k@ from Paris, FranceI just love when photographers allow me to watch such incredible things - thank you for sharing & it's a great pic ! 30 Dec 2008 6:51pm @k@: Thank you! I feel exactly the same way about visiting other bloggers at Am3 - privileged to "peek in" on what theyview. :) Morgan from Toledo, United StatesVery precise photograph. I too am an amateur coming back to photography. Do you have any guides you are working through to give you new insights, or just shooting. Very thoughtful images, thank you. 30 Dec 2008 8:41pm @Morgan: No, I really haven't read anything at all about photography in recent years. When I was new to SLR photography, I bought quite a shelf full and read them all. My best advice is to ask questions, read, learn from others, and take field trips in your own area. Most of my photography is done at home or nearby and I do a lot of playing with settings. While I've never managed to find a good photography course locally, I took one when I was living in Michigan. There's nothing like a little hands-on training from a pro. If you can find a class, go for it! :) Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaLOL I have never, ever seen this kind of thing before, bravo Booky for this great find :) 30 Dec 2008 9:42pm @Lorraine: It might perhaps be a wee bit of an unusual sight, eh Rainy? :) Thank you! Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomEnough tubs to choose one for every bath you could take in 2009. Nice shot. 30 Dec 2008 10:16pm @Richard_Irwin: Ah, yes, lots of soaking time lying about in that field. Thank you! :) amy from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaLOL!! Great shot! There's a few folks up here in Nanaimo who may want a few of those tubs for our annual bathtub races in the summer!! Yes, they really do race bathtubs LOL!! 31 Dec 2008 1:19am @amy: Bathtub races!!! Cool! Please tell me you take pictures. Yes, if anyone needs a bathtub, I definitely know where to send them. :) *Rich* from Stafford, United KingdomHow do they stop them filling up with water you ask? Why, leave the plug out! :o) Very unusual shot Bookfool, I like it! 5 Jan 2009 1:06pm Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanNow....this is something special!!! What an unexpected assembly!
