Oh, how I wish it were February! Well, actually, March or April for us. This is a gorgeous close-up. The white petals look as if they have a tiny bit of dew on them. Very nice.
We're freezing up here, Nancy! NEGATIVE 3!

@Les: Ours come up in January, most years -- February at the latest. Thank you. This was mid-afternoon, so no dew. That's just the natural irridescence of the petals, I guess. The photo is untreated, apart from cropping. Wow, negative 3? I thought the 40s were bad! It's raining, here. Blecch.
It does sparkle, what a lovely delicious soft shade, perfect macro Book :) AMATEUR MY FOOT !

@Lorraine: Thank you, Rainy, and oh . . . if only you could see my files. I sometimes flip through and think, "Ugh, awful, terrible, bland, blah . . . okay, there's a decent one . . . horrors, too dark, blah." I need to work on understanding light better.
I'll soon have to hit my files as well because of the cool weather and my reluctance to stray into the woods in the wind... This is a great shot against the sky that provides the wonderful blue that seems to fit every other color without exception.

@Earnest: It doesn't usually get all that cold, here, but this has been a really cold, wet winter for us, so far. It does kind of discourage photography! Thank you. I once read something that really opened my eyes -- a comment that in nature there are no colors that don't go together. That was a real "Aha!" moment. I'm sure you've observed how beautifully nature blends colors, since you're a nature photographer. :)
Thats one glorious Daf. A big bright image to cheer up a cold December evening over here.

@Richard_Irwin: Thank you! Daffodils have always been a favorite of mine; they're very happy-looking flowers, aren't they? I'm glad you found this one cheery. :)
