@grouser: Not quite! This one was near the reservoir in Mississippi, not in Hawaii. Once again, flighty Bookfool had trouble deciding what to post and uploaded at the eleventh hour. :) @Les: Why, thank you, Les. :) Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaFantastic setting, stunning photo Book! You can do no wrong... 24 Nov 2008 1:37pm @Lorraine: Thanks. You're too kind, Lorraine. :) @Earnest: Thank you! I had fun coming up with a title for this one. Can you tell? :) JJ from Jersey City, United Stateswonderful capture the bird looks very regal, love the title 24 Nov 2008 6:03pm @JJ: Thank you. They are stunning birds -- "regal" is an apt description. He had his eye on me, though, hence the title. :) @andrea: Thank you, Andrea! I had fun creating a title -- he did, in fact, take off the moment I tried to get close. :) Pixim from Nice, FranceWhouahhh, What beautiful shot. Just a less brilliant white (in any cases for my screen) I like very much the framing, and this bird full center is good, the merit indeed Bravo ;) 24 Nov 2008 6:39pm @Pixim: Merci, Pixim! Le blanc est un peu brillant. J'ai dû travailler très vite; ce type a enlevé très vite. C'est pour pourquoi je entitled la photo "le chèque de pré-vol" - il était sur le point d'enlever! Jeff from Pembroke Dock, United KingdomLove the contrast between the legs and the plumage, good shot...Glad i'm not a fish. ;>)) 24 Nov 2008 7:36pm @Jeff: It is quite a contrast, isn't it? Oh, yes, be glad you weren't a fish in that lake. There are herons everywhere. We were driving on a two-lane (the Natchez Trace) with soft shoulders, so it was kind of disappointing having to drive past many, many herons without a place to stop and photograph them. When the opportunity arrived, you can imagine how quickly I tried to grab the chance to capture one. @Eleftheria!: Thank you, Eleftheria! *Rich* from Stafford, United KingdomThe background is out of focus! Don't worry, I'm kidding. ;o) Lovely bird shot! 24 Nov 2008 8:58pm @*Rich*: Hahaha! No worries, it had the desired effect. I got a nice laugh. Thank you! :) Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomSuper capture, the bird posed so perfectly for you, bravo. 25 Nov 2008 12:44am @Richard_Irwin: He did indeed. Thank you, Richard! Kathryn from Warburton, Australiaa great up-close capture! i like the way the backround is interesting but not distracting! perfect dof! 26 Nov 2008 7:09pm |
