Rich from Gray, United StatesGreat shot... very clean. Someone went to the beach... "on the road with Bookfool"!! 3 Nov 2008 11:06am @Rich: Thanks! Yeah, we've been hitting the road, having a good time just playing with the camera. The beach was a blast! Zoo pictures will be forthcoming, in a few days. :) Les from Lincoln, United StatesGreat shot, Nancy. Makes me miss the beach all the more, though. 3 Nov 2008 12:08pm @Les: Thanks! I've never been a beach person but I love the way the MS Gulf Coast looks, now that the hurricane removed commerce from the beach. So, so pretty. Jean-Michel from BRUSSELS, BelgiumNice image. 3 Nov 2008 4:19pm @Jean-Michel: Thanks! I hadn't noticed that leg is in motion -- thanks for mentioning it. I do believe he was searching for food. :) @Annie Viguié: Many thanks! jamesy from christchurch, New ZealandGreat shot I am enjoying your series. How do you find your Sony camera I am looking at a sony a200 So am just doing a canvas to see if there are any issues with them 3 Nov 2008 8:10pm @jamesy: Thank you! I kind of went the easy route with my Sony. Sony took over Minolta and my first 35mm was a Minolta Maxxum 7000. From there, I moved on to a KonicaMinolta (that's the camera that got me back into photography after a lengthy break) and then the Sony Alpha camera my husband recently bought me as a gift. I already had the lenses, so that was part of the reason we went with the Alpha. It's been kind of tough figuring out all the controls, but now that I'm beginning to really understand how to work the camera, I'm enjoying it very much. The only issue I have is that the little adjustment wheels can be hit by accident quite easily. Say you're in shutter-preferred mode. You can whip out loads of photos, thinking you're all set, then notice that you've hit a wheel and gone from a shutter speed of 1/200 to 1/500. I'm not sure if there's a way to override that, yet. I'm still learning. Hope that helps! peter from new york, United Stateswow very cool shot! the bird almost seems to be very careful of each and every step. nicely done : ) 4 Nov 2008 12:16am @peter: Thank you! Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesExcellent... I hope to catch one of these strayed this far north one day. 4 Nov 2008 12:23pm @Earnest: Hmmm, I don't recall ever seeing a sandpiper in Oklahoma! A wee bit land-logged, there, as I recall. ;) andrea from Padova, ItalyVery good composition:you have good taste 4 Nov 2008 8:01pm @andrea: Thank you, Andrea! @amy: Thanks, Amy! bisha from Saitama, JapanGreat composition!
