@Shawna: Apologies for the late reply, Shawna, and thank you! I read your instructions and I don't have the software to do your abstracts, but I'm going to hang onto those instructions and hope I can get some decent software, soon. At this point, I'm stuck with a free copy of Picasa -- not a whole lot of range, but better than nothing. :)

@Jon: Sorry so slow to check old messages. I simply set the camera for a long exposure in shutter-preferred mode and let the camera choose the aperture. The birds did the rest. :)
